In commemorate of our heavenly patron’s St. Vincent De Paul’s 350th death anniversary and of our principal founder Bl. Frederic Ozanam ’s bicentenary celebration, Trichur Central Council started a new venture - Abhaya Kendram ( A shelter for the poor patient’s and the by standers) on 2013 August 17th Saturday Trichur Arch Bishop Mar. Andrews Thazhath blessed the building.
August 29th 2013 Thursday, it was an unquenchable happy day in the history of Trichur Central Council. SSVP international President General Most Beloved Bro. Dr. Michael Theo visited our Central Council with his Beloved wife Sr. Rosalind Theo and inaugurated Abhaya Kendram. National Council President Bro. V.M. J. Balaswamy presided over the function. Msgr. George Edakkalathur Vicar general of Arch Diocese gave the benedictory Speech. CC spiritual Director Rev. Fr. Mathew Chakkery handed over the memento to the dignitaries. International territorial vice President Bro. K.M. Augustine, N.C. Secretary Bro. Dr. Krupanandam, KRCC Co- ordinator Bro. E.M. Geevarghese, Rev. Fr. Joffy Chirayath, Mr. Rajendhran Arangath, and Mr. Thomas Puthiry was the Chief guests for felicitations. CC Secretary Br. Shibu K.A presented the report; CC President Bro.
